Did you know one photo can be worth over $1,000? No Joke!
When you look at your profile image on LinkedIn or Facebook most people don’t realize that one photo could be worth $1,000 or even much, much, more.
If you’re an actor or model that one photo could land you a casting for the biggest role or campaign of your career.
If you’re in business, that one photo can help you land that interview with a new company, a new client, or new promotion.
If you’re newly single that photo can help you land the date of your dreams.
What is that new client worth to you? How much does Nike pay their models per shoot?
Although a photo by itself won’t get you to your goals, it will very likely get you. “the click.” In marketing there is a concept where the job of each creative or piece of copy is to take the viewer on a journey and encourage them to take the next step. The click. Nothing more.
If you have an amazing resume and work experience on Linked In but no one clicks on your profile and takes time to read it what’s the point.
If you don’t get called into the casting, you could be the best actor in the world and still not get the job.
Although we would all like to think everyone is judged equally and given an equal chance, regardless of looks or appearances, the reality is that is not true.
You have to pass the “Eye Test” to get your shot. You have to look the part and dress for success. You have likely heard these phrases for most of your life but maybe never really considered how important your one photo is to your success.
On second thought, I bet that one photo might be worth well north of $1,000 after all.
